MATT TISSUE

Mat tissue is commonly known as surfacing mat. It is called mat tissue because its shape is exactly like tissue. It is commonly used as the first mat layer after gelcoat, to achieve a smooth gelcoat surface, prevent the CSM layer from being directly visible if the gelcoat cracks, and thus protect human skin from injury when touching the fiberglass surface if the gelcoat cracks.
